I've looked up many tutorials on normal mapping my textures, which allowed me to get pretty creative with how I was modding my units. Some of them came out pretty well. But one thing that I don't understand is why all of my normal maps are inverted when compared to the SS files. As shown here:
Now I noticed that every time I used a normal.texture like the top-left one, it results in awkward textures in the game. I shall provide the following as an example:
Can anyone tell me how to make normal maps like the bottom-right so that I can have 3D belts and accessories that don't sink into my men's breastplates?
Also. Second question. Is it possible to have a unit wield a two-handed weapon for their primary, but carry a shield on their back, and if they need to switch to their secondary, they pull out their secondary weapon and their shield?
