Hotseat Difficulty Problem
Hi there, my friend and i just attempted to start a hotseat game on vh/vh, him playing Portugal, me as the Poles.
His was set to VH, but my campaign seems to be set on M.
I got two messages at the start, one telling me it was VH, one that it was M, tried moving my capital, and it was only 2000 florins, leading me to believe that it is on M.
Any idea how this can be fixed?

Re: Hotseat Difficulty Problem
Sorry if this isn't allowed, but i'm just bumping this. Hotseat is really dull and unchallenging in Medium, so i really want to solve this.

Have you doublechecked? Fought any battles? Seems to me as if just the relocate script and the announcement might be missfiring. Just because you sneeze you dont necessarly have the flu.

Re: Hotseat Difficulty Problem
Beyond the capital movement, how can i double check? The battles are far too easy, the AI isn't very aggressive on the campaign map either.
OK, so i've been mucking about a bit, and it seems that any hotseat involving England and France works perfectly, with the right difficulties in check.
Any idea why this is, and how it can be applied to other factions?

Re: Hotseat Difficulty Problem
Just to understand you correctly, any hotseat with Enland and France lets all nations have the same difficulty?
(eg E,F + HRE -> works and E + HRE -> doesnt work)
At the moment I am suspecting the turn / load order of factions to be responsible but I have no access to any SS6 files right now.

You are right on that clarification. I was thinking the same thing but don't have enough knowledge to move forward.

Re: Hotseat Difficulty Problem
Well if games with England + France + Poland + Portugal player controled start with the right difficulty settings then I'd suggest starting this way and using the "control England" and "control France" command in turn 2 to set those countries back under AI control. You'd have to have console enabled for this to work (as you enter the commands there)
