    Default export_descr_unit

    what i want from my total war, is fewer and more decisive battles...i mean, a faction should be able to build 2 or 3 full stacks maximum...so i want to change the number of turns to make each unit (from 1 to 4, from 2 to 8, from 3 to 12..4X), and also i'm thinking to change the upkeep for each unit ( 2 or 3 times more )...will these modifications change the gameplay in a good way or a bad way?..will they unbalance the game?..thanx

    Hmmm,my thoughts are it gets boring if you have too many battles or too little,extremes defeat game enjoyment after a while. Game balance is difficult to decide as up to you as individual player what you want? You need enough units to cover probs with rebel spawns and you need units to govern settlements or they become rebellious,not just fighting enemy troops. If you increase the build turns you are screwed in those areas as you can't get units up and running in time to counter those problems. Say if you have a rebel army spawn...what are you going to do if it takes up to 12+ turns to create units if your army is absent??? Your economy suffers in those missing turns they occupy you lands. And if you conquer a new land,and your army is decimated or weakend in the assault,how to control if settlement is too large and you have to wait god knows how many turns to create a garrison? Very difficult. My thoughts are just up the campaign difficulty to VH/VH as it both limits income-yours and increased AI difficulty in battle which is more challenging! And saves having to alter files!!! Easiest way I think and OK.

    The ExRM submod has rebalanced things so there are fewer full stacks rolling around. In the early game, if you concentrate all your forces together, you usually only have to beat one stack before you practically have a free run on the region. In the mid-late game, once Big Blue or the Yellow Horde have taken over the immensely rich Levant, you may need to beat 3-4 stacks before you clear a way to the Anatolian coastal cities, but they eventually slow down if you plan your conquests carefully.
