Hi
I am new to Broken Crescent, i just installed today!
I have played for a few hours as georgia, and I am a little suspicious that my recruitment options are not what they should be.
Firstly the basics:
I freshly installed Medieval II and Kingdoms today.
Installing Kingdoms has brought me up to patch 1.03 in MII.
I have installed BC 2.0 and patch 2.02
These are the issues:
I seem to have extremely limited recruitment options,
e.g I have conquered Yerevan.
Yerevan has a wooden castle, and mustering hall
I am able to recruit "Northern Axemen Militia"
That perhaps seemed reasonable to me, it only has low level buildings.
however looking through the building browser, I can see that building a stables, garrison quarters or bowyer will not increase my unit options at all! surely this is not correct?
i used process cq and the money cheat, to investigate a bit further - it seems I only get new troop options if i build the next building up from stables, garrsion and bowyer.
e.g to get a levy archer I have to build a practice range
however even if i maxed out the stables I still wont be able to recruit any cavalry.
Essentially this is a totally useless castle where I will have to spend loads, to be able to get even the most basic units.
Is this working as intended?
THe second (related) point is recruitment in my cities.
In most of my cities I cannot recruit any soldiers e.g Telari, Ganja, Sakhumi, Kutaili etc - nothing
looking through the building browser it seems I need to build a Lvl 3 barracks (town watch type building)
to be able to recruit any soldiers in these cities.
Is this working as intended?
I have one city - Dvin where I am able to recruit soldiers - the Northern Axemen, If I build a lv 3 in Dvin I am able to recruit 3 different troop types.
What is the reason for the discrepancy?
Finally - It seems I have to build an abbey to get a priest. Is that working as intended?
