When I try to launch the mod it says: "Medieval 2: Total War has encountered an unspecific error and will now exit." Any help?

First, go to the search box and type in the error you're getting. Chances are someone else has had this problem. Also, if anyone's going to help you, you need to give us more information. Are you using Steam? Did you follow ALL of the instructions in the post titled Third Age - Total War 1.2 Released? Is your copy of Kingdoms patched and up to date? Give us a few more details so we can help.

I'm not using steam i downloaded and used part 1 and 2 and patched it for 1.1 and 1.2. BUT I had to change the .bat launcher thing to launch from medieval2.exe and not kingdoms.exe. Now can anyone helm? P.S. I deleted the installers after using. I think ill try re installing again.

It has to launch from kingdoms.exe
