    Default Question about removing

Hey, I downloaded this mod, unaware it would change my RTW files. When I realized I couldnt play my orginal game (Or my saved games -_-) I was upset, but I decided to give it a try. When I played it I was less then impressed by many things.

I wasnt sure how to get rid of it and I came on the fourms here, and it said I had to reinstall Rome...Sigh. So I did that, and now I get an error when I start Rome, what is the problem? I cant play Barbarian or Alexander, either. -_-

You have to manually delete the folder and then reinstall RTW again, you can still use your old savegames if you take them out of the folder you are about to delete and then put them back in the same place in the new install... SPQR overwrites RTW, so it wont work together, if you want to play both, I suggest you simply make a copy of your original RTW install and then install SPQR (or any other mods) into the other

What folder? Rome or SPQR? How do I find it?

Well... when you install a program or a game, you chose where you want it to install... You should take note of this!
If you for some reason forgot, then you can look in the standard folder for example, called C:\program files\Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\ (or something similar, depending on language, version of the game etc etc, but you catch my drift). If you would install SPQR over your RTW, and you choose uninstall RTW (there's lots of ways to do this) then it would only uninstall the RTW files, some SPQR files will remain, and when you install it again, the new install will be corrupted. Follow me so far?
To prevent this, after you have uninstalled RTW, then you have to manually delete this folder (Rome - Total War, or whatever its called on your system). Mark it and press SHIFT + DELETE, and then yes to all questions. After you have done this, install RTW again (and take note of the installation directory...)

Registry clean. Also install into different directories to see. And manually check for any hidden files or smth like that.

You need to ask in the correct forum, SPQR has NOTHING to do with your lack of skill on how to get the vanilla game to work. Sorry you didnt like the mod, But SPQR forum is for SPQR Mod not problems with your not knowing how to delete and reinstall the original game.
