    Default isengard destroyed...

ok now i did it, so im SURE how it happened, so i started my rohan campaing, and i made a full stack and went straight to isengard, the only units there were High Chieftain (something) 1 unit of snaga javelin and 1 of snaga archers

i got isengard then i see faction destroyed, same happened when rhun got destroyed, their capital was conquered, so i ask, is the game made, so that if you lose your capital the faction gets destroyed?

and before you guys come with "what about invasions on edoras?" well they lose it to an invasion so if this is suposed to happen (lose capital, lose game) it would be extremely unfair

but i don't think this was made on purpose now, was it?

if there's no heir the faction is destroyed, but how did you manage to attack isengard without besieging it? You don't have Catapults in the beginning, and if you besieg it, the garnison script should "fix" it...

I've noticed in several games now that when a Faction Leader is killed, the faction is destroyed...it had nothing to do with the capital.

I've only confirmed this against Isengard, OotMM, and Mordor so far (all of which don't have family trees); so I'm going to see if I can confirm it against another faction that DOES have a family tree and see if that is what is causing it.

in this case i rmeoved the script since it was way to unfair when i was playing with gondor, so too bad that isengard decided to remove everything ....this is how it should be

and i did sieged for 2 turns o belive, when i noticed an army of isengard coming, so i just attacked and got it, thinking they would come, but instead they got destroyed

and they did had a faction heir, is that Lord Yaga(something), and i don't think he died in the first 7 turens of the campaing

Factions are not getting eliminated after losing their capital.

Did you killed their factions heir before you took Isengard or after?

yes well while i admit it may be similiar, i wanted quick attention to this as i explained, the AI could had in fact killed the faction heir(s) with assasin, as i wasn't involved, and that was it, but ppl continued the topic tho...

in this case i attacked isegard, (and ONLY isengrad, as in their capital isengard), and they were destroyed, i didn't touch ANY other unit, just sieged isengard, got it, and faction got destroyed...

As gondor rohan lost the capital and afterwards i had to retake it then give back but the faction remains. I destroyed the which king of mordor and they are still going strong as well.

Leave it to the modder to perfect the works of the paid developers for no profit at all.

Mordor is strongest faction so they are not weakend by losing witch-king with all their 10 star nazgul

Yeah but generally if a faction doesn't have a faction heir and the leader dies, all of the settlements rebel and the faction is destroyed.

well for mordor....generally in order to get to barad dur you have to go through minas morgul

their faction heir is the nazgul in minas morgul, so thats probably why killing the witch king early will eliminate mordor.

However....shouldn't the heir status transfer to the Nazgul in Dol Goldur? Its hard to imagine the lazy silvian elves killing him.

This does not change anything. This has nothing to do with the heir but with the faction leader
