Default Problem with modifying one nation's government type

    Hi,

I used the EsfEditor to edit startpos.esf, in order to try and make Prussia a constitutional monarchy

to do so, I followed the instructions found in this thread :

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ght=government

    1) in the FACTION_ARRAY / GOVERNMENT section, I've deleted the original GOV_IMP node (there are 2 GOV_IMP nodes, I edited the "lowest" one) and pasted the one I copied from another faction

    2) in the REGION_SLOT_MANAGER / REGION_SLOT_ARRAY section, I've edited every building/road/fortification (for both Berlin and Könisberg) to make them constitutional monarchy infrastructures

so I started a new game, Prussia was indeed a constitutional monarchy BUT other nations were still considering me as an absolute monarchy

in the diplomatic relations panel, I would get a "different government type" penalty with other constitutional monarchies, and a "same government type" bonus with absolute monarchies...

did I do something wrong, or did I forget to edit something?

    cheers!

For this I think you should make changes in Diplomacy Manager. See here how to do it.

oh dear, it means editing Prussia's diplomatic relationships towards every other nations....and editing aaaaall of the other nations' diplomatic relationships towards Prussia aswell !

moreover, in the diplomacy section of startpos.esf, nations aren't identified by their name but with a code, so I would have to attribute its code to each nation first

well, I'm not sure I have enough motivation to do that

Yes I know.. but that's modding. It is something more than 100 records to be changed. And the worst part is that you will be the first that you're going to do it, I am not sure that this will be the solution (almost sure). Anyway if you change your mind I can provide you the factions Id's (PM me).
