    Default Problems with descr_strat

    Hi there!

I've just been working on ways of making my campaign games slightly more historically accurate.

I edit the descr_strat file to, say, give Antioch to the Byzantines. I cut the Antioch settlement bit under 'slave' and paste it under the Byzantines. Fine, I think. The spacing and stuff is all correct.

So i try to start a new campaign. If i select the Byzantines, the game will say I've lost immediately. If I start as a different faction, EVERY other faction on the map will be reduced to rebels. It's ridiculous.

Does anyone know where I might be going wrong? Or is this a common problem? I scowered the forums and couldn't find anyone with similar problems.

    Thanks for reading,

    O

ive never heard of this, the only think i can think of is that you also copied the slaves entry, so that every region belongs to the rebells

Yes, I know that Ishtar is spelled wrong

I have to agree with Stephan, nothing else will cause this.
Post your descr_strat file here if you do not agree.

have you edited something in the topp lines of the descr strat? like the marian reforms disabled functions and that kinda stuff, cos i don't think you should edit that, cos we don't really know what that causes(last I checked), it's another leftover from rome total war i believe. that's about the only thing I guaess that can cause it, unless you have dited other files.
