Laggy name tag

This might seem a little bit silly, but maybe it has happened to someone and you can give me an idea.

After installing Stainless Steel (I had TATW installed first), the name tag of characters on the campaign map moves by jumps instead of following the character smoothly. It is as if it reloads every two seconds or so and reappears when the character has already moved a couple of tiles. On and off on and off.

My questions is, might this be some setting that needs to be changed?

SS and TA don't interact with each other in any way, maybe you should just try restarting your PC. If that doesn't work, I have no idea what could be the problem, let alone how to solve it.

This means that you must update your video card is all.

I don't think it's his video card. After I had installed SS and had TATW already installed, none of the games worked; SS, TATW, MTW and Kingdoms would all crash in some way or another. I had to completely reinstall everything and now I don't trust SS.

Well I got both ofthem installed and it works fine

Their in seperate folders, they dont interact with eachother so it should work. I think its your video card or your RAM

Or perhaps your computer doesn't have a powerful enough processor to handle the game?

There's no possible way for SS and TA to interact if they've been installed correctly. I've played SS before and never had any problem with TA

It's nothing in my video card or computer, I have played SS for a long time and have been playing TATW fine during the last week, with high+ video settings and huge armies. I installed SS after TATW because I had it uninstalled but wanted to test some stuff.

The problem, which I can live with but it is a bit annoying, is that when a character (general, spy, etc) is walking on the map, his name label stays behind for a second or two, then jumps up to where he is, only to stay behind again a second or two, etc. It started right after I installed SS so that is why I related it. It's not performance related.
