    I personally love the late legionary cohort, because they are numerous, comprised of all elements of a cohort, and are just as effective as a praetorian for me.

    As a modern Spartan my ancient ancestors ofcourse
    also cataphracts for complete hammer and anvil experience (along with a proper phalanx)!

    My favorite unit is probably Companions Cavalry or Cretan Archers. I have always found Alexander's army incredible, and the Companions are just the coolest. I love watching them charge into a standing infantry, spears forward, awesome helmets, and just all-around coolness. Cretans are one of the best archers, and I love archers.
