Default Only seems to open vanilla

Ok, well I installed EB 1.2 then 1.2 following the instructions to the letter. When I licked on the short cut I found myself thrown into the original game with it's bright red and over shiny URGH! So anyway.

I found that there was an EB folder with a data folder, and the folder in the main directory had an unchanged Data folder. I copy pasted, which is taking FOREVER. But while I wait I better go asking. Why might this have happened? Did I miss something? I'm pretty sure it IS my fault x)

    EDIT:

Ya well I moved the files, but now it CTD while loading a campaign so I can't play.

Everything should be fine as long as you choose x:\RTW as a destination folder.

Well My folder structure goes :c/ROME/Rome_eb/ coz I have a lot of copies of my game folder for other mods and such. I installed into that folder. The main RTW directory with the exe files and such.

So in theory it should then be :c/ROME/Rome_eb/EB?

    EDIT

Well I just uninstalled the game... 2nd try x)

You have to choose main RTW directory (or in other words: that with the exes ), and yes, after installation of EB 1.1 there will be EB folder in the main RTW folder, but EB 1.2 must be installed also into the main RTW folder (not in RTW\EB folder). But if you have many mods, then it could be the issue. Installation thread states clearly that it would be best to install EB on clean RTW 1.5.

It is on a clean RTW, well a copy of RTW anyway. I have about 5 game folders.

And EB1.2 installed without giving me an option of where, I'll re-download and try again.

First of all, you must instal EB 1.1 and then EB 1.2!

Ya I did that. But I sorted it anyway. Turns out I'd left a "\" on the end of my directory name. Cocked something up. System logs couldn't tell what though.

Try adding " -mod:eb" to the "Target" line of the shortcut's Properties.
