Religious shows have no monopoly on lame TV, but when religious TV is lame it's totally crippled:
The uber-dorkiness of Bibleman was particularly eye-watering.

Good lord. Give me Benny Hinn over those clowns in "Bibleman" anyday of the week.
You don't gotta watch it. The "christians" on tv are 90% of the time not christians. I wouldn't base opinions off of it, but yes most of it is lame.
"When I die, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like Fidel Castro, not screaming in terror, like his victims."
My shameful truth.
I don't. Which is why I posted clips from a British TV show laughing at it. It's not like I sit around actually watching Bibleman.
I'd love to see you back that statement up with evidence. I think what you're trying to say is "I really wish some of the doofus Christians on TV weren't really Christians because God they're embarassing."The "christians" on tv are 90% of the time not christians.

ThiudareiksGunthigg,
What a silly statement. Of course they are not Christian. Oh perhaps they may well have been born into the name of Christianity but no born again Christian would make a fool of God. That being another debate is one which you refuse to believe because you don't have any knowledge of Christianity or its effects on man as has been clearly seen from your posts. So to ask for evidence, what evidence is it that you would like?
How in earth do you know that? And how do you know if these people aren't being serious in what they are doing?
I know few Christians, who can laugh and make jokes about their religion, God and what ever involved. Being a Christian doesn't have to mean you have to be dead serious about your religion all the time. Ironically priests seem to be one of the most laid back people, who seem to know most of Christian jokes around.
Bible man rocks I want to see a full episode. I loved their idea to defeat him by throwing fossils at him.
"When I die, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like Fidel Castro, not screaming in terror, like his victims."
My shameful truth.
If ever there was a useless thread, this is it.
So what. It's bad tv. Change the channel.
America is an Apple pie
with a few bad apples
right toward the top.
To be governed is to be watched, inspected, directed, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, and commanded, by creatures who have neither the right, wisdom, nor virtue to do so. To be governed is to be at every operation, at every transaction noted, registered, taxed, measured, numbered, assessed, licensed, admonished, reformed, corrected, and punished. It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest, to be placed under contribution, drilled, fleeced, exploited, monopolized, extorted, and robbed; then, at the slightest resistance, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harassed, abused, disarmed, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, and betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, and dishonored. -Pierre-Joseph Proudhon
Finally, there's a superhero that Aquaman can feel superior to.
Oh, please - not only are the lame shows funny but the British comedians' commentary was hilarious. Lighten up.
Yes, because I'm really saying ALL Chrisitians are as dumb and lame as the ones ridiculed in those clips. Get a grip.
And that's just crass. It's like pedophilia.

The only religious tv ive ever seen in Canada was a sermon from a famous priest in one of our biggest churches. He'd give sermons, talk to people, that whole thing. Actually was a pretty decent show [I still think its around too], I use to watch it.
“All things have sprung from nothing and are borne forward to infinity. Who can follow out such an astonishing career? The Author of these wonders, and He alone, can comprehend them.” - Blaise Pascal
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.
In Australia we have an excellent religious affairs show on Sunday nights called Compass. It covers a wide range of issues, people and all kinds of faiths (though it usually sticks to the big ones, especially Christianity). It often tackles some very hotly contested and controversial topics as well. Obviously all religious TV isn't as dumb as Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron and their intelligently-designed banana.

Well, I wouldn't say that all religion-themed programming is lame.
But just about all channels that are entirely centred on religion are.
One of the ones I've seen while flipping through the channels is TBN, the Trinity Broadcasting Network. It's a very fundy-Protestant channel; laughably bizarre. Has that nutter John Hagee on there quite often. Hilarious. It's even weirder than 700 Club being shown on ABC Family.![]()

So what are Bibleman's superpowers?
Optio, Legio I Latina
I object to the term "lame", as it's insulting to... umm, the disabled. Yea.
The proper term is "interpersonally impaired", or perhaps "situationally disabled".

Why is it that mysteries are always about something bad? You never hear there's a mystery, and then it's like, "Who made cookies?"
