Icon5 Question about those ships that get stranded on the Egyptian coast.

I'am sure some of you have allready seen the bug were rebel ships get stranded on the Egyptian coast. I was wondering what causes it? Is it because of flooding? Can I mod it out?

    Thx in advance

I think I have your problem. Sitting in a random spot in the desert just west of Ammon I have a ship sitting in the desert. The pirates can't be gotten rid of, so they piss me off quite a bit. I don't know how to get rid of them, but is this what you're talking about?

Indeed this is what I'am talking about. I couldn't really figure out what causes this (flooding, bad spawn point, ...) so I edited the file's that there is 0 chance of pirates spawning. Not the best of solutions but it will have to do for now...

It happened also to me, but never really care about some pirate ship appearing in the middle of a desert

Not sure if its related, but I did see a pirate ship spawn in one of the northern inland lakes of Finland that was only 1 square wide...

Here's a pic of the example I presume you're talking about:

Yep, that's it. I've seen something simillar in M2TW many times - a pirate ship spawned on/in the lake. ("on", "in" - which one is correct?)

On - if he was in a lake he'd be underneath the surface

Have you never heard of "Ships of the Desert"?

OK, that may well apply to camels now, but maybe, just maybe, those RS designers, being smart and well versed in all aspects of antiquity, have come across the little known phenomenon of literal Ships of the Desert :
