    Default The EAGLE's

I still havent had an answer to my question is the related threads, so i thought i would try another way.

are there any specific traits or ancillaries, for either rome, or the opposing factions , for either losing an Eagle or Recovering One ?

Good question. As far as I'm aware this hasn't been addressed but Calvin would know better. In fact it'd be a great idea to make it an awful thing in trait terms for a general to lose an eagle. For non-Roman cultures it'd be great.

Could the legionary eagle be an ancillary that could be won back in battle? Probably not

but would their be a trait that ciold be added Guardian of the eagle , or savior, or Eagles Champion. some thing like that, Like Germanicus and Corbola, (I think) who both were credited with finding and returning at least one each of Varrus's 4 lost eagles.

it could add a silly ammount of influance and a nice shiny command star or two, because the troops would love him for recapturing an eagle, and he would recieve favour with the people too for returning the eagle.

    What do you think ?

what about a triumph systhem in the traits, something like kill 10000 enemy soldiers for small triumph,20000 for normal Triumph and so on just an idea SPQR has something simular

    Good thoughts.

@LTP - I see that you've been trying out SPQR. How does the start compare with the Roman mod foldered campaign in RS2?

I only got it to start twice before the game sufferd a Fatal error, which i am still trying to sort out, i can tell you that the menu and start screens are really basic and bland in comparison to ours though, LOL

I will see if i can salvage it tonight if not then i will try once more to install, I try'd it cos i heard somewhere that they had some interesting traits and command structure, so i wanted to take a look.
I will let you know if i find anything interesting

If a Roman general loses an Eagle , He could gain a negative trait taking away influence and command stars , but If he wins it back he could another traits which evens out the negative effects, Just another idea

Or at least reduces them. I don't think you can really get over the shame of losing an Eagle.

I'm rpetty sure that there is a trait for that.

I remember not recovering an eagle and I got a trait like...disgraced or something. It's deffinatley there though.

Which reminded me of something...what happened to the trait/ancilliary that says if a general is the legate of x legion? Is that still in game?

This is all nice ideas, but ideas mean work and I've got a heck of a lot on my plate already. So maybe in about 2 months I'll be able to think about this.
