Default Thank you for the kind response

Caeser so graciously responed to my question regarding a seeming imbalance in recruiting, as follows:

You have installed either RealRecruitment or Byg's Grim Reality submods or both. The 6.1 installer provided information links to the said submods that detail the changes to recruitment that these submods make that you should have read before selecting them. Check their threads in the submods forum for details. And if you did install Grim Reality, there is a patch you need to install at the bottom of the first post in the BGR thread.

I did install SS6.1. I wanted to have as complete a mod as I could. What I read made me believe that the recruitment system would be based on real troops available at the time. Nothing I saw suggested to me that as the most powerful kingdom in the known world, I would not have available units that a bandit has. I guess I missed that part of "RealRecruitment". Now that my error has been pointed to me, would not a better title have been "SurrealRecruitment"? Just a thought.

This has been asked and answered hundreds of times previously. Please do a search on the forum before posting a new thread. You wont have to wait for an answer if you do.

Ahhh, so once a topic has been discussed, it can never be broached again? Only new thoughts can be explored? Only new questions raised?

There are in excess of 8,000 threads. Caeser, are you suggesting it would be faster for me to read them all than to ask my question? I am flattered that you think I can read that fast.

It really is so nice to have a moderator who is so gracious in his responses. I particularly want to thank you for locking the thread, thereby making sure that nobody else could add anything to the discussion. After all, nobody could have a new thought or perspective on the issue. No point in talking about something that has been discussed before.

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

Of course you are right it is Caesar Clivus fault. His rude manners are a constant issue around here.
Posting this here will help you with your problem and calm your anger as I am sure it already has.
I for one am glad to have read your complaint and to be able to respond to it.
In wanting to have a complete mod you regretable run into the missinformation layed out in the installer in form of those
two major gamechanging mods whose information topics on this board are bad-worded and misleading.
Many before you just glanced them over, gave up on the information and installed anyways and then campaigned
existensivly before realising something was amiss. In that you are not alone.
CC should have left your topic open instead of closing it and directing you on what to do to solve your problem.
There is no sence in keeping information stored in 8000 topics without any means on the top right to search this
forum when you can go and create new topics repeating and quoting from older topics. After all it is always better to
have several discussions in different places as to make sure that information is best distributed.
This beeing said I feel your pain but your anger is best spend in solving your problem.
If you are right with your complaint it will fall on deaf ears - and if you are wrong it will have done nothing good as well.

    Sorry for your trouble

Of course they can. But they should be posted in an existing thread so that all helpful information is in one place rather than scattered throughout the forum. This helps people in the future who have similar questions as it makes it easier for them to find an answer.

No I am suggesting you should use the Search Forum function to find your answer.

As I said above, there is a proper place to talk about topics that have been covered ad nauseum already. And that place is in existing threads. If you wish to continue this discussion, please PM me rather than starting another thread.
