America hasn't done a fantastic job but at least they didn't hand over parts of their country to terrorists and have amazingly managed to keep peaceful and friendly relations with their direct neighbours for over 50 years all without the need for a military junta

We also threw out a murderous dictator. I am fully aware that we ed up royally not long afterwards, but we have been doing what we can to piece the broken remains together, and things have been looking up since the Surge. We can't exactly pull out without being epic, utterly irresponsible douchebags either.
