Game crashes to desktop whenever I capture Patavium

I'm playing as Romans. Whenever I capture Patavium from the Gauls the game crashes.

I'm new to ExRM and have been noticing a few CTD's in my game also. So far i've been able to get around them. When you take that town from the gauls, does it CTD right away or when you hit end turn? If the later try zooming your world view out to the maximum(so you are furthest away from the map) before ending the turn.

I was having a bunch of CTD's when i had gone into greece and was taking many of the greek cities, and doing this seemed to solve them.

I had this happen twice today, I'm playing the Germans though. I won a Heroic Victory against the Romans at Patavium, I clicked 'exterminate population' and got a CTD. Came back to the game and the autosave was from before the battle I had just won. Did the battle again and got another Heroic Victory but it CTD'd after trying to exterminate again.

Fed up of it now.
