    Default City management

It's a really simplke question: do you rely on AI for the management of all your settlements?
Or do you prefer to control everything on your own?

Simple: on my own. I don't like the AI building unneccessary buildings where I do not need them (eg. culture increase and siege weapon makers in my capitals, far from the enemy lines). So I can decide where and on which buildings I can focus.

I wrote this because here Terafis said

AI develops cities and castles way quicker than the player
and I wonderer if this feature affects also human player cities managed by AI.

He means that in a lot of cases, the AI "cheats" by receiving huge cash and troop bonuses. Therefore, they'll have the money to develop their cities in cases where a player wouldn't, and they're able to build stuff with less stalled queues.

So if you don't have the cash for AI-managed cities to develop, they won't develop faster than if you manage them yourself.

I never, ever trust the AI with such important things as my cities.

I build buildings myself and let the AI handle the taxes. It does good job at keeping them as high as possible before people start rebelling. In some mods (TATW included) you can't turn tax manager on right after you take the settlement because for some reason it will set the taxes too high. After a few turns when things settle down it does ok.

In vanilla there are no problems with that and you can have tax managed at all times.

i used to do that, but i dont do anymore

best is keep low-normal until your city grows in population, and then yeah, press the taxes. when the city has low pop, the diff between normal and very high its just 100florins... but the growing decrease is enormous o_O

PD: The AI at 70% public order puts very high taxes and 70% is red and rebolt-possible, i would like to fix that too but i asked in submods and no1 answered :'(, it has nothing to do with the first times after you conquer, but after a while the public order will get higher so no problem.

I don't mind the growth decrease; with a lot of settlements I can't afford to upgrade them all and develop some big army centres. And if you don't upgrade them you need to lower the taxes anyway because of the squalor. This is why I like them growing slowly.

I handle all taxes and construction myself. No recruitment buidlings in Khand and low taxes until stone walls (after that building all upgrades takes longer then reaching the next wall with taxes on VH)

I manage taxes and constructiom myself. This way I can decide which tax level is the best so I will make sure the population will grow in a good rate, and construct buildings that I mostly need at that moment.

I always do it by myself because Ai make a mess of it
