    Default Realistic Celtic Factions

I was wondering if there were already plans by submodders to increase the realism of Scotland's and Ireland's units (And mercenaries).

I cant speak for anybody else, but Ireland and Scotland are getting a makeover for my next release. Ireland is almost completely different. Kilts are mostly done away with.
Most newer submods are switching Ireland out for somebody else.
The top unit is not entirely ahistorical (and really not what the units in SS look like), but men like this would have been far fewer in number and without armour, not likely to last long in battle. Could you imagine longbows against those leather vests? They really were a throwback to an earlier age.
The vast majority of highland troops would have been peasants, largely forced to war by their lords. For most of the middle ages, it was lowland Scotland that was fought over. This was the good agricultural area and the highlands were quite poverty stricken.
