Can you take wildlands? (+orc exp./q's)

First time playing and i chose the misty mountains orcs. Fun game over all except for wall issues (defending and attacking) but still look forward to playing other factions. My question is that i came to the assumption that the wildlands are uncapable? The eastern dwarfs keep diverting my resources away from exploring.

I'm also playing on vh/vh and found it not to be that hard at all. At first i was attacked by both elves and dwarfs at the same time early in the game. I defeated a large stack of silvan(?) elves and deafted them (they repeatedly offered a vassalship which i eventualy took). While i had to lose and retake 2 regions above my capital from high elves (they sued for peace after). I have been fighting the dwarfs off and on ever since and am within a hand full of turns to striking the death stroke for there eastern expansion. Both elves have never crossed me since and bad is steaming rolling all over the good. I was disapointed with how gondor then rohon were killed off first and fairly fast.

Anyone else have a harder time with Orcs?

yes the wildlands are ment to not be conquered and the reason they are being overun is that is the way it was lorewise...if u want a challenge play as gondor or rohan u will get raped if u are not ready, also if u want it to be harder, wait for rcrr to come out for 1.2 it will be much funner

I thought the OotMM were easy too once the Silvan's offered Vassalage.

So I started over and didn't take the Vassalage that was offered.

I also didn't take a peace treaty from the High Elves.

Try only working with Mordor and other evil factions as the Orcs of the Misty Mountains, and the game is much more fun! It is even better taking on the Dwarves, High Elves, Silvan Elves, Eriador AND Dale this way!

I even came to blows with Rohan when I took Fangorn from them; but they were far too busy fighting off Isengard, Mordor, Rhun and Harad during an Invasion. I was a bad orc and didn't send anything more than a petty general with some Snaga Skirmishers for the invasion.

Orcs of the Misty Mountains has actually been one of my hardest games (early on) when I don't take offered peace treaties or deal with anyone but evil factions. I actually refuse to even create a diplomat and waited for Mordor to contact me first.

I just didn't see the Orcs as "diplomatic" in the novels...so I emulated that.

The more i beat the dwarfs up the more everyone likes me on both sides. I mainly built up all my regions and took my time with things and just gained favor without working with anyone else. I have all the proper alliances now except for the vassalship. I even called a invasion on the dwarf town dale even though i never participated in one and did it as a diversion. Why always offer vassalship?

Personally I agree 100% with you, Evil is just to easy, I played All evil factions vh/vh campain and I didn't break a sweat, Rhun kills always Dale, Isengard kills rohan,Mordor Kills Gonder with Harad, The only Ai who resist verry good are the dwarf they beat Ootmm if the Ai plays with it

Elves do nothing usefill except dieing in campain and eriador is to weak to fight evil

Thats reason I like good more then evil to play with

eriador keeps fighting the high elves and everyone just seems to busy to want to battle me so it isnt much of a challange unless i go out of my way to do so.
