    Default Question

Non offensive, just curious. Looking through these threads, and about 90% are about God, the Bible, or Christians. Just curious why we feel there is nothing else to talk about. Anyway, just thought I'd raise this question, and I don't mind all the threads but I do wonder why it's like this.

I'm curious how you got to this observation. I just did a run-down of the threads on the last three pages, and I don't see at all how 90% of them are directed at God, Bible, and Christians.
Christians get their share of the attention, which is quite a lot, since they're the biggest religion on Earth + by far the most prominent one in the Western World (which is were most forum members are from).
That said, Islam gets its share of attention as well, and so do the non-believers.

That said, most threads do talk about God. But that's because you're in the Ethos

Recognized I'm in the Ethos my friend, yet I hope you get what I mean. I exaggerated a little, maybe 70% would be better. Point taken I hope?

But thanks for the point, makes sense when said like that.

Hehe, yeah, point taken. I'm a bit edgy with my exams coming up

It's interesting how Christianity takes most of the flak in the Ethos, while most of the Islam-bashing goes on in the Political Mudpit.
So apparently, christianity gets more criticism for its principles and concepts, while Islam usually gets the blame in political debates.

I try not to get too much into either, but that's been my observation.

You've pointed out what I could not put into words inside my head. I knew there was a significant difference, I knew what the difference was, but I couldn't really describe it. That hit the nail on the head.

Well, you have to be proactive. Think about what you'd rather talk about and start a thread on it.

That makes far too much sense, Avendiel. Nevermind him, Pure. Just keep making threads like this one.

P.A, I know that. You have told me nothing I didn't know, I am asking why Christianity is the main religion talked about here. Nay main religion, main topic.

Well let's see. There's already a philosophy sub-forum and if you mention an ethic, moral or other religion, it'll be compared to christianity.

Pretty much any ethic, moral, or other religion mentioned can be turned to christianity in a number of posts. It's like the six degrees of separation from any wikipedia page to Jesus
