Having a problem

Hi, new to the forum and im having a problem running ExRM.
I havent played RTW in awhile and found it among other games so I decided to try it again. I used mods for other games and found RTW had alot so hard to choose, but I picked RTRPE 1.9 played it for awhile then decided to check some forums on it which I then found ExRM which looks like a great mod that I want to play. So this brings me to my problem sorry for the history haha.

I should say that I have only vanilla RTW not BI or anything else for it, and I patched it up fully.


Ok, I downloaded ExRM from the no nonsense installer for ExRM v3.4 today. I did everything it sayed to do, and it installed fine. I switched the shortcut to run off the Rome.exe, and then loaded the game which was all fine. I went to custom battles to check out the new skins for units and it looked great even played one with me being the greeks vs rome just for fun. Everything was working fine so I thought the campaign would work just the same way so I went for it. I decided to be the republic of cartharge to try it out. I set up everything and clicked the arrow, but oh no the problem. It kicked me back to the menu with new campaign HB and CG and i could click on NC again so i excited the program which it then showed me the error.

coundn't find settlement name 'Apamaia' in Stringtable

so I said ok there could be a thread to fix the problem so I looked and found one by zepfan81 who was having the same problem being kicked back the menu when trying to start a campaign. so I looked to see what someone told him to fix it. PatricianS told him to delete the map.rwm file in "RTW\ExRM\Data\world\maps\base". So i did this and tried the game again. Same problem new error message

Script Error in ExRM/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign/descr_strat.text, at line 939, column 92 could not create settlement at script line 939.

so there is my problem sorry for the long explanation, but I really want to play this mod. Is it possible? or should I just give up.

Try looking in map/campaign/barbarian invasion and delete the map.rwm there, if there is one.
