Default How NOT to have a regent ? (I want a KING !)

    Hi,

I keep having regent every time my leader dies. I have a few generals/governors directly descending from the first king, I think, but I only get regent and "future regent". No royal heir and kings...

Recently my regent dies, and another general adopted by his "father" became king. But there were at least 6 or 8 governors more "suitable" for the task...

How NOT to have a regent, and get kings ?

    Though...it actually make a difference ? :p

Make sure your king has a biological son that is of age that can become his heir when he ascends to the throne - the son of a regent will become 'founder of a royal dynasty' when he takes the crown. King is an hereditary title, a regent is a man who takes power when there is no true heir.

You might not like this but... when I find myself in this kind of situation, I'll give the fortress to my enemy. Typically I avoid this kind of situation by not building a fortress/large stone walls until I have maxed out mil/gov points... but I wonder if thats an exploit... either way, it helps me.
