Destroying OotMM with one general!?

I wanted to try a variation in the game; but I'm no computer programmer, so I decided to use cheats to get what I wanted on turn one to start the game.

I used "toggle_fow" to see the whole map.

I exited Gimli from his keep in the west.

I placed the cursor near Moria and opened the ~ (cheat) window and typed: "show_cursorstat"

I then typed "move_character Gimli x,x" (where xs are the coordinates) to move Gimli next to Moria.

I then moved the Dwarf Spy the same way.

I had the spy infiltrate Moria.

I then attacked with Gimli and got to immediately invade the city.

I then re-opened the cheat windo and typed "auto_win attacker" and won the battle.

BUT...

The whole OotMM faction was destroyed by taking that one city.

It kind of defeated the purpose of my plan which was to have only the Misty Mountains and get rid of my other provinces so that I could play as "Khazad-Dum" against the OotMM faction.

Why was the entire OotMM faction destroyed? The Heir was in Goblin-Town and I figured he would just step up and be the new leader...but NOPE, the whole faction was wiped out.

Any ideas?

Download the Divide and Conquer Sub-Mod.. Let's you play as the Dwarves of Khazad-Dum.. There are 3 Dwarven Factions in it to choose from.

yea u probably kill the faction leader and the faction heir same time , or it could be that if you kill the faction leader turn 1 the faction is destroyed only thing i could see since the faction leader start in moria .

those bad faction have no fammily tree maybe it as something to do whit this ?

Did you download the descr_sm_faction in the bug report forum? Did you start a new campaign after that? If not I think that is the problem

i had this too, as gondor lost minas tirith, they lost all their provinces and got wiped out

Was this during a regular campaign?

I thought maybe my result was from meddling on turn one and messing something up.

Maybe I should send a different general on a later turn with the same cheats...I'll try it and let you all know.

I was Isengard and on my first turn I got Mauthak killed (on purpose ) and I got the defeat message.

I lost 200 men to kill the witch king (he stepped out of the shadow all on his lonesome, how could i not try to kill him? ), but Mordor wasn't defeated. Why does that happen for some people and not others?

it may be bcs they have no generals remaining? :X

That's because he started a campaign without the hotfix but then applied it.

This leaves mordor without a family tree, but with the ability to be destroyed if their 1 man family dies.

That's why they died
