- The original cap and trade bill, HR 2454, was introduced to congress May 15th
- June 23rd, the thousand-page bill was replaced by a whole new bill - HR 2998 - weighing in at 1200 pages
- At 3:09 am on June 26th, a 300 page amendment was filed
- 16 hours later, the house voted and passed the bill none of them had read

Not to mention the trillion dollar stimulus bill which if not passed would case the economy to break. The one that was garunteed to keep the unemployment rate under eight percent."Rule 1: Never allow a crisis to go to waste," White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told the New York Times right after the election. "They are opportunities to do big things." Over the weekend, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton told members of the European Parliament, "Never waste a good crisis." Then President Obama explained in his Saturday radio and Internet address that there is "great opportunity in the midst of" the "great crisis" befalling America.
But apparently he thinks it's no big deal to ignore immigration reform.
