What graphics settings do you guys play on and what is the number of units you can have

Hey everyone,

So I have noticed people talking about having huge scale units and massive battles involving thousands of people, and I was curious as to what battle settings you guys were playing on.

I currently can get to 4000 troops with everything on high setting (not maxed, just high) before it says that I am exceeding the recommended settings.

However I have a quad core and geforce 8800GT among all the other essential stuff like RAm and memory cache etc. Should I be able to get more?

What can you guys get?

I have to play on the lowest graphics settings with the lowest troop numbers.

Still fun as hell.

Ok I just did a test and had all graphics on high with 7000 troops. Even though it said I had reached optium max at 4000, I still could play the match with virtually no lag...... the only time things got bad was when I sped it up x6 so I can live with that.

Evryhing maxed out and huge scale settings and can have around 10k units before go red in custom.

ootm, Mordor and Isengard can field 5k stacks on huge settings, because a lot of their units have 250 men per unit.

The most times I ever see close to 15k is during siege defense as Gondor v Mordor, or when defending against an evil Jihad

With highest unit graphics and everything else low, as well as small unit numbers, I can get maybe 5000 troops on screen without too much lag.

With highest settings I've been able to get 15000+ soldiers on the field. Haven't tried more than that though...

My settings are maxed. There is a small amount of lag:

NVIDIA 9600 GT
RAM 4 GB
AMD Dual Core proccesor

We have about the same computer i have a 9800gt but only 2gb ram dual core amd also running on sp3 xp .


i always play on 1600x1200

havent tried more than 3000 on a battlefield (i play on normal settings) with unit detail on high, no shadows though cause it impairs my vision in forests and stuff

I'm one of those people who has to play on lowest settings with smallest unit scales. I wish autoresolve was more balanced...

I can play with everything on maximum and at the highest settings possible and get maybe 10K without the lagging getting really bad?

All setting maxed even edited in the preference to Higher but i can only handle large whit huge in 10k+ battle i start having a really bad fps but it still playable .

all settings max, even AA and AF, huge settings, can get 6k. the screen resolution is 1366X768

I play on my beloved notebook:

P7350, 4g ram, and a 4670 with 512mb. I play with win 7 X64

see thats the thing, I can have 15k troops, but it isn't ideal gameplay.

What are everyone's specs who are playing 10K + with no lag?!??!?!?!?!?
