Campaign Too Easy?

I don't know, I have been playing total war games since they came out, (didn't play medieval!), but I see that the campaign is too easy, I use the recommended settings and all (VH/VH), altough the people say that they have had a hard time starting the campaign (it's the usual with total war games, and other strategy games), can't see the difficulties raising up. I usually have to cheat to make it REALLY FUN! giving myself and the AI lots and lots of money (usually 6 millions) and then the show starts (my last campaign with high elves I was unleashing a little uhum "fury" with 3 stacks attacking mordor, but suddenly Eriador attacked me, and in the next turn it was dale and the dwarves (my empire streched from the east coast to some old dale territories that I had conquered from Rhun) THAT WAS A LOT OF FUN, I lost five territories in 2 turns and had to raise two stacks to fight against eriador, and 1 to fight against dale and the dwarves!!

Btw if you want a real challenge, ONLY give the AI factions 6 mil. Try that and I think you'll find your campaign a bit harder

I have played this mod without cheating, if you plan carefully you don't have to worry about the spamming stacks or other things, battles in the Europa Barbarorum a mod of Rome were much harder, that really gave me the chills (I AM NOT ADVERTISING THAT MOD! BTW)

And haven't said that but I really like this mod! One of the best that I have played!

Edited the files to look like the RC/RR ( don't know if it's compatibil with 1.2)

eriador andf HE are the most easy faction try gondor whit harad and mordor sending stack after stack it gonna be a little more hard

ps: try to not take 1 settlement from enemy for the first 30 turn take only rebel settlement .

Gondor on vh/vh with RC&RR is pretty brutal. I'm on my fourth Gondor v Mordor campaign now, and Harad still manages to make some surprising moves to get around my seaboard defense. Big garrison in Linhir - they hit Pelargir, big garrisons in both, they hit Dol Amroth, go on the offensive against them and Mordor launches an all out against both E Osgiliath and Cair Andros while Harad hits Emyn Arnen round the side of your attacking forces while you are spread out. Fully turtle all approachable cities and you don't have enough money to make advancements. Push into Mordor and Rhun hits Minas Tirith, while the ootm or Isengard hits Calembel. 5k stacks from Mordur every second round early on, then once the trolls come in they really start hurting your defending forces.

It's amazing fun.

Also try migration campaigns. They can be realy fun. Usualy I play anything but Gondor or morder, go to W osgiliath and use the money cheat to buy it from gondor, make a alliance with military acces, Give Gondor tons of money and give Mordor MILLIONS. This causes some awesome battles with Gondor at your side. I had a 5 stack battle before. I was the Dwares with 1 Gondor vs 3 Mordor stacks. That battle was so bloody and claimed the lives of 98% of the men fighting. In the end Only Gimli (his bodyguard where dead), 25 iron guards in 3 seperate units and the Gondorian generals second in command.

Good times, good times.

And that was fun!

While fighting of the Dwarves (full stack) in a recently conquered city from Dale (10 turns) I had to defend with measly 3 eldar archer and 1 eldar lancer and 1 mithlond warrior, that was hard!! Then dale attacked me the next turn (full stack) those bastards! almost lost that settlement was really a heroic victory, lost all the troops except 5 units o eldar archers

I will try that! don't really like playing as gondor, got myself in defensive position in the west, and offensive in the east... than I killed the witch king (hate that guy) mordor was over, using archery strategy against harad is pretty much effective, the campaign was over at turn 150

for those giving enormous amount of gold to gondor and mordor, why dont try that battle-campaign-submod, it was basically a normal campaign with enormous amounts of armies everywhere (and cities conquered @ start?)
