ive never modded a total war game b4(ive dabbled in halo and oblivion but not tw) so i dont understand anything about modding etw. there are a couple of things i want to change
-Russian republic flag
-russian uniform main color
-prussian uniform main color
if anybody could tell me how to to this from the very start (including like wich software to use and such) or at least point me where to learn tw modding from the beginning i would really appreciate that

Well first you should head over to the tools, tutorials, and resources section of mod workshop. You'll definitely need the Pack File Manager, and Mod Manager makes enabling mods a lot easier. Then there are several tutorials on aspects such as basic structure of mods, creating your own mods, and editing flags.
Once you get the basics down, you can head over to that thread I pointed you to.
It's kinda hard to learn the basics, but once you figure out how Empire works, it isn't very hard to use more advanced tutorials and tools to make your own mods.
@Topcat: gloss files just tell the game where to splash faction color on units. to choose which color that is, you have to edit colors like in that thread I pointed fenwayb to.

i just looked through that entire section and a couple of others and i still cant find a simple guide on how to mod etw. (and yes i did accually read the posts, not just the forum titles)

ive been trying to learn to mod for a while now and i have not been able to acomplish anything so far. can some one just make this mod for me because im getting nowhere trying to do it on my own
change the russian republic flag to the flag of the united baltic duchy
change the russian uniforms main color to kind of a snow as dusk color
change the russian republic campaign color (not sure if thats what its called but i hope you all understand what im talking about) the same as the uniforms
the other (but less important)
Prussian uniforms to a dark grey
the prussian campaign color to the same dark grey
tx to what ever modder helps me out with this cause this is whats stopping me from dominating the world as my favorite countries
