So far what I have seen the continues CTD seems to appear between 1200 and 1250. We would like to know how many players have experienced it.
You can vote multiple options if you had different experiance with different campaigns.
I had to stop campaign due to CTD between 1200-1250
I played at least one campaign past 1250 without CTD
I had CTD past 1250 which prevented me to continue the campaign.

Since my first game with KoJ, 5 persistent CTD when loading a game for the time between 1204-1208.
Basically due to the fact you cannot save and load a game during the crusaders attempt to seize Constantinople (scripted pop up army)
In some games, they took Byzance, then lost the city back to ERE => save made when they are wiped out of the map.
In other games, they failed to take the city so i had to wait less time before i could make a valid save game (without any save / load CTD later on)
Now i am in 1219 and i know the same issue will happen for Mongols stacks seizing cities, which means i will have to play around 40 turns without a save.
im getting CTD's in both campaigns (hint).

Both my ERE(1250)and KOJ(1210) campagin get CTD,and I have to wait next fix release.
My Greak Seljuk campaign started crashing around the year 1200, and my Georgia/ERE campaign crashed around 1180.
I've had two KoJ campaign crashes and one with the rum turks, all between 1180 and 1220 and not able to reload them.
I've also played one campaign with KoJ past 1250 without crashes.
Sig made by me, content from Broken Crescent.
There should me more options to vote. I've had two CTDs in one campaign. I don't know how I've omitted first one, but I know what to do, to not experience the other. I've voted 'I had to stop campaign due to CTD between 1200-1250', because it is nearest the truth.![]()
I had a campaign with ERE to about 1270 with no issues or crashes. Another campaign with KOJ to 1260 also with no issues or crashes.
I then started a new campaign with ERE and had a CTD. I forget which turn, 59 in believe. It turned out that the 2 crusade armies that turn on Constantinople ended up being on top of one another which was causing the crash. I moved some armies around and the crash was gone.
I then played a Ghorid campaign with no CTD's up to 1240 and stopped playing it.
I started playing Georgia but have been hammered with CTD's on 3 campaign's in a row. I have tried going back 3 or 4 turns on all of them but still get CTD's. All of them have ended 1200- 1250.
i had two CTD issues in my sindh campaign on was 1223 and the other 1225. i got around them both by loading an older savegame. both crashed on the ayyubids turn. i the first i tried to use the surreder regions cheat on the ayyubids but it crashed after all the troops had moved out of the cities. on the second the cheat worked on the ayyubids but it then crashed on KoJ turn. after killing off KoJ the game kept going but i still loaded an older game. if it helps i still have the "corrupt" savegames. i'm playing on a german version though. don't know if that makes a difference.
My Kwharezm campaign crashed in 1208-1209. The saves I have are 10-15 turns back, which for now I have no desire to play. It crashes after, or during KOJ's move in that turn. A shame though, as my campaign had just started to get interesting with a Kwharezm invasion of Seljuk lands.
CTD in 1249-1250, always occur in the makurian-omani transition. I am playing as the Turkish sultanate.
CTD's have tended to happen like this in mods. TLR is great example. in TLR there is some error in the event script or the campaign script cause the game CTD's around those dates. Now in BC i have seen no system or cause for this yet. Tho im pretty sure it's either a mess up in the AI script. (TLR also has harder AI.) Or somthing in the world file tho it won't show up on the system.log. Which could mean recoding it as a systematic solution. Recode the suspects and keep doing it until it fixed, which would take alot of time tho.

As has been said before, many of the crashes are due to the seiging of certain AI cities (Samarkand, Constantinople, etc.), and I have seen the 4th Crusade armies stack on top of one another as they seige Constantinople.
