    Default BI on Platinum?

Hey guys, I just joined (as you can all tell), and have been enjoying RTR v1.9 for a while now. I do have one question though:

Is there any way to play Barbarian Invasion with 1.9 installed? The main thing I'm looking for is playing as the Huns, really. If not, will I be able to with RTR VII?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forums, scuderia.

Do you ask, if you can still play BI while RTR PE is installed on your pc? The answer is surely yes, if you get the modfolder version.
But if you ask about RTR PE for BI timeframe, than the answer is definetly "no", since this mod is made to cover the timeframe of midd-late roman republic and it takes place B.C, not A.D., and therefore there are no factions like Hunns or Franks or others, wich only appeared much later in the history.

RTR VII is going to cover the same ( or quite similar ) timeframe as RTR PE does, while FOE will only take place during the Punic Wars ( 1 + 2, i guess ).

Thanks for your response. I already installed the regular RTR PE. Can I still install the modfolder version and play BI, or do I have to uninstall everything and clean install the modfolder version?

It would be better to uninstall everything and then do a modfolder install.

The non modfolder versions do overwrite vanilla files. To avoid any problems you should rather delete the unmodfoldered RTR PE and reinstall your vanilla RTW to get a clean installation. Most of the newer mods out there are modfoldered now, so it would be easier to only install those, wich let the vanilla in peace.
In case you would like to try some other mods ( or just to back up your vanilla files ) you should create a folder somewhere on your hard disc and copy your original RTW files into it. And every time you would like to install another mod, you simply create a new folder in the neighbourhood naming it after that particular mod, so you can collect all the mods and copy/paste them into the program folder, when you want to switch and play another one ( hope, you get me right )
