*Each Cardinal is a representative Bishop of your country. Better alliances, influences and strategies can easily be forged this way. In other words, 2 positions.
**The same with the Leaders of the Holy Military Orders. You can sign up Orders that historicaly operated from your faction [1][2]. The Roman Curia is the loyal Papal State's; Military Commanders and Officials, while the Cardinals act as Prince's and a strong foreign influence.

When I die, the Cardinal's will vote . 2/3 of the Cardinals must agree, in order for it to pass. Offcourse, I will likely not die any time soon, but it's not likely that I will be here all the way. In the event of such, I will let the Cardinal Bishop Dean(the head of the cardinals) know, so he can begin the Papal Elections. After the elections, smoke will come on the forum, and a new Pope will rise. The new pope(and the entier loyal and trusted Papal state) will offcourse, most likly side more with the pope's home faction. I will say thats a pretty good bonus to reach out for when the time comes.
