How evil is Sauron and friends?

First of all I want to say that TATW is a kick ass game, and I am enjoying every bit of it and I love the new unit description card pictures, especially for the Rhunnic Clan Crossbowmen.

Ok, to the topic at hand. How evil is Sauron and his horde. Everybody talks about my friend Saury how he only wanted to pawn a ring and kill everyone but to me he's actually a pretty nice guy. I mean he even provided jobs for the Orcs and got Gondor and Rohan to rekindle a old friendship now how evil can he really be if he's willing to do all that?

I mean I ask because when measured against an evil in say Warhammer 40K where Chaos creates new daemons by dissecting still alive space marines, has Slaanesh who would assume to rape you with a diamond studded **** and then grind you into paste to get high on, and has a Imperium who would accuse you of heresy for something as minor as being born with unsightly traits and then turn you into a Arco Flagellant to repent. After considering all that and the haziness of the details on Sauron's career. I find this question most intriguing...

Mind you the above examples from WH40K don't even come close to chipping the air above the iceberg let alone the chuck of ice itself.

Numenor had it coming.

Dont forget trillions (realistic number actual) of Guardsmen. Well usualy they arent disected per say but ripped limb from limb, tortured,eaten,corrupted, tainted, killed by their officers because theyre tainted, blown into little bits, blown into dust, blown into nothing, sacrificed, and shot.

He didn't destroy numenor! It was Eru! In fact Sauron almost died in that deed. All he did was showing the Numenoreans a way to become immortal, which is prety decent of him.
He gave a living to thousands and thousands of orcs and other descriminated creatures and he also almost succeded in uniting middle earth, were it not for that warmongering wizard called gandalf.

Thats Elf propaganda! What actual happened was Morgoroth was actual a teenage girly girl and offered free makeovers for all the pretty elves. She then got knocked up by Sauron just before the makeover, got drunk and completly ed up the way the Elves looked. The Elves where then to ashamed to go back so they stayed with Morgoth. When Morgoth soberd up she went insane with greif and decided that she had to pee in everyone cherios. She was however beaten and Sauron took over.
