After immersing myself into the game for the last few days all I can say is WOW! This is a magnificent piece of work. It is a better LOTR game than any "official" titles. You really get the feel. IT'S A BLAST!!!
While playing I have been thinking about stuff and I would like to raise some questions and make some comments.
1. The mod makes extensive use of LOTR (movie) material. Was permission secured for this, or it falls within the realm of Freedom of Use?
2. I wonder if this mod spoiled any plans that CA had for a future LOTR or fantasy TW game?

And that's why they made ETW so difficult to mod so players couldn't come up with whole new free games? Just an idle thought.
3. A number of generals (especially in Eriador) look like regular guys with long hair pasted in photoshop. Are these the boys in the staff, and if yes, who's who?
4. This mod has layers. The more you play the more wonderful details one finds (some perhaps unintended?). For instance, I hadn't realized that the areas in the Misty Mountains represent caves. I thought at first they were just mountain passes.
Now a probably unintended effect of this is that practically all battles in the area occur in cliff settings. I hate battling on cliffs, but here I make a concession. In a roleplaying set of mind, the cliffs represent caves, and the difficulties you have fighting there are like what it would be fighting in caves. Further, once you've tasted that, you'll think twice before "going in", just like elves or humans would have qualms. Dwarves should love it though
