Has anybody seen this? It's a few years old, but i just got around to seeing it the other day.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0364569/

I thought it was a fantastic film, and i'll never forget it.

It's about a guy who is imprisoned in a solitary room for 15 years by people he doesn't know, then he's let out, given a suit and a cell phone, and he tries to get his revenge. He finds out WHO imprisoned him, but not WHY.

I was hitchhiking the other day, and this one guy gave me a ride the whole distance of my trip, which was awesome. I had seen ALMOST all of oldboy, and told him it was an awesome movie. Then i got where i was going and i saw the ending, and i was like holy crap. What a bag of craziness. That guy is absolutely going to think i'm frreakydeaky lol

EDIT: Gawd, looks like spielberg is gonna get his mediocrity-making hands all over it.

I'm sure Spielberg is a capable director, I just don't want Will Smith as the lead. Come on. Will Smith for this?

edit: And we got Mark Protosevich of I am Legend and Poseidon for the screenplay, aw man.

are you kidding, if you've seen the movie you'd know that this could NEVER translate to Hollywood except in the loosest of terms. It wouldn't be the same movie, not at all.

Just for fun, here's the fight scene

I agree with the others, there's no way Hollywood could re-do this. Even The Departed was a far cry from Infernal Affairs.

Anyone wanna bet that they'll just do a huge borderline pg-13 action movie to the likes of Man on Fire?

Ahh what the heck Hollywood! A movie like Oldboy does not need a remake or anything of the sort imo. I liked the movie a lot despite it's craziness. And agreed, I've never really liked Hollywood's attempts at remake/visions/whathaveyou.
Therefore I am I must - King of Dyslexia
My Stories:Wolfmen - Henrick Gleeson - The Woman and the Bread Roll
