Startup CTD Issue.

When i start the game up it crashes, i added -en to the end of the target line on my short cut and when that didnt work tried the -show_err and after doing that it comes up with this after the crash.

Script Error in data/desc_battle_map_lighting_and_fog_control.txt at line 7, column 1

Expecting reading 'min_light_intensity'

I looked in the file and it showed that as well as one with 'max'. What does this error mean and how do i fix it?

I don't know about the script error thing, but you are supposed to use "-ne" not "-en" at the end of the shortcut targetline.

opps thats what i meant. doesnt work though.

Are you sure you did a clean install, and if you are using Vista, either installed with UAC turned off, or installed it elsewhere than the "c:\program files"-folder? If you had UAC on and installed in that location, it hinders the installer to update some files.

Might not be a solution, just brainstorming a little...

Or maybe if you should just and JUSt look up some other threads before spamming us with another one, do a goddash look around how to put some information for us, your PC, your OS, blablabla other threads. Its just timewaste to guess this way.

Oh I am nice just pretty tired of endless spam of nearly the same threads. I mean scripting, I dun understand that but always first thing whenever facing dire problems is complete reinstall/sweep of the game and its folders. Then Id start to spam. Or crashes from ingame, out of nowah. But this...geez

heretic ignore the nasty bullying cze (lol) and have a good read of the link i posted, it has a lot of information that should help (first four posts) including some detailed information on adding the -ne command.

I'd also suggest trying the -nm command as this disables the intro video which may help
