    Default Phillip II (random idea)

    I'm currently writing a historical novel set during the first year of Philip II's regency and have thought about how awesome it would be to play during this time period. I've checked out Megas Alexandros and The Greek Wars, even mods like the promising Hegemonia City States, but none of these cover this exact time period (from 359 BC onwards)

    I am not starting this mod as I have ZERO experience in any form of modification besides very minor changes here and there. I just wanted to see if there were other people out there who would like to see something in this timeframe, or if anyone had considered this before.

    I would imagine the faction list to be something along these lines;
    Second Athenian Confederacy
    Theban Hegemony
    Macedonian Kingdom
    Thessaly
    Lacedaemon
    Kingdom of Epirus
    Persian Empire
    Egypt (temporarily free from Persia)
    The Illyrians under Bardylis
    Odyrsian Thracians (under Cotys)

    Other factions could include the Olynthian League and various tribal peoples around the Persian Empire (probably including an Indian peoples to provide some balance)

    I wish I could mod (and before anyone says, I have looked through the tutorials but get confused over the simplest of things) cause I think this would be pretty fun. I hope there are a few out there who look at this idea and (if not currently busy with other projects) thinks about it.

    Sounds good. Maybe you should start with making up roosters for every faction, and a map with cities, pictures on soldiers etc. In short words: The most historical information you can get your hands on.

    Thanks for the reply. That information gathering shouldn't be too difficult, I've already done quite a bit for my novel and I know where to get the right books in uni (studied Classical Civilisation for the past three years)
