    Icon9 Anoying cinematics

    Can I turn that anoying cinematics off? I mean when general is killed, gate is breached etc. Well maybe not the one with general but the gate animation is extremely anoying... I know the gate is destroyed - I just sent my men to destroy it - I don't need to be stunned and unable to command my men for 5 secs

    what do you think?

    That only removes battlescenes, yes, only when your gate is broken, general dies it will give you the message put won't focus the camera on it, it doesn't affect any other things

    1) Go into your Third_Age folder (Medieval 2/mods/Third_Age)
    2) Find a file named TATW.cfg, open it with Notepad
    3) Near the top, you'll see some lines of text starting with [game]
    4) Add this line to the list of options under [game]: event_cutscenes = 0

    Note: You will likely already see a line saying ';event_cutscenes = 0'. Remove the ; to have the same effect (; turns the line into a comment)

    Does that affect campaign event cinematics?

    As far as I have seen, it only removes cutscenes from when you are in battle. I still have events such as finding the Shire, etc.

    Note that it removes all battle cutscenes; I don't know of any way to selectively choose which ones to remove. So, it would remove the dead general cutscene as well.

    I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who hates these...

    I mean, I know the ing gate is broken, that's why I sent my ram there.
    And I also know when a ing general is dead, there's a sword falling from the sky to tell me that!

    The cutscenes are the stupidest addition to any tw game

    I dont know, I havnt changed this but I still dont get the focus on the gate or general or whatever. Its already changed with a ";" before the "event_cutscenes" part.

    Same here, I kinda like the inbattle cutscenes, how do you get them to show up in battle, mind you I haven't touched a thing yet and this is what that line says :

    [game]
    unlimited_men_on_battlefield = 1
    no_campaign_battle_time_limit = 0
    unit_size = huge
    ;event_cutscenes = 0

    So what I,m asking is what do I need to change to get the ingame battle cutscenes ???
