Compatibility issues
I'm starting to think that someone up there doesn't want me to play this mod. My first download aborted during the night, and now my new download wont even open. I downloaded the .exe version of the mod, but when I click on it to open it, I get a message "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32bit) or x64 (64bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher." I downloaded the mod from another computer (with XP), and then transfered it to this one. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. And yes, I am running Satan's operating system, Vista.
PS I should also note that I have tried changing the compatibility settings in the .exe properties menu.

Re: Compatibility issues
Make sure you have turned your anti-virus and anti-spyware software off when you go to install it. This has been known to affect the install program.
Also you might want to check out the Vista FAQ sticky thread at the top of the forum

Re: Compatibility issues
Well, it looks like third time's a charm. Left another download running (torrent one) while I was out, and the computer seemed to like that one. Crossed fingers, it seems to be running fine (CTD when I tried to open the late campaign, but worked when I tried it again, so who knows). There seem to be a lot of people out there with this compatibility problem, but not a whole lot of answers. I did check the FAQ's first though. I try not to be that annoying "asked the same question as a hundred people before" kind of guy.
Finally get play though - sweetness.
