    Default Not for me:-)

Just wanted to say that I tried the mod and it did not meet my taste-) In any way thank you for your work!
What I did not like is the problem with moral. Units have a raised moral and in most of the battles you can not use any of the tactics , simply because they would not run! So the battles are much more costly in man power. Over all the map is to heavy and there are slowdowns sometimes. I liked what you have done with the traits system. But the costly battles and very costly buildings made me turn away from that mod.
    best regards!

    Dear Razdor,
    You should have known that..!

    DLV is only for lunatics
Just for the crazy guys that form the elite of the Medieval II Total War community...

Seriously speaking, I believe that in the beginning you should focus in advancing your faction
    economically.
    For the first (at least)
20 turns you MUST build your economy and then try to expand.
I know, it is difficult if you are a beginner in DLV.
BUT I think that you will enjoy it so much when you get familiar with it that you will NEVER play mods that only focus in making nice graphics.

    Cheers
    Agis

That should be for most mtw mods

Leave it to the modder to perfect the works of the paid developers for no profit at all.

I agree wholehearedly with Agis, DLV is the only Kingdoms mod I play apart from the occassional dose of TATW. Sad thing is, it's usually the shiny graphics that attract the masses to the mod. However how many people play it does not affect my experience of the mod so I still love it!

The biggest sadness ever .. It's not like you can have a "gameplay preview" or so .. And the masses like the shiny units and previews about them , but when in battle , it's not like you constantly zoom in to look at your beautifull units ..

    Fair enuff.

(1)What I did not like is the problem with moral. Units have a raised moral and in most of the battles you can not use any of the tactics , simply because they would not run! So the battles are much more costly in man power.
    (1) First, the increase in moral come from extremly slow, and very dumb M2TW engine. More moral give the AI more time to react, resulting in a more even fights. Now you tell me how many % battles you loose.
(2)When it comes to the point of not able to use tacticts, then that must mean you have not read the Strategy Guide for New Players for DLV! Specialy Chapter 7: Strategos(battle) and Magistratus(campaign). There is soooo much to learn and discover in the addiction of DLV.

Over all the map is to heavy and there are slowdowns sometimes. I liked what you have done with the traits system. But the costly battles and very costly buildings made me turn away from that mod.
    best regards!
Fair enuff, DLVers will nut gag in your ear that you should be more patient during loading time; read somethings, watch TV, make love, eat, etc.

Overall, you are a good constructive critic. To bad your given up before starting.
Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

I was palying this mod old good times, but factions that are in flight 4-5 times..lots of additions and gameplay changes result in big amount of bugs that really make gameplay annoying..So I think that i will never return to this mod anymore..
Difficulties,in my oppinion, should be from the side of actions og AI and it is interesting ,but a lot of bonuses to PC makes game uninteresting..simplification in some fields will make mod more interesting IMO
P>S> soory for my english..and it is just my oppinion ...
is there any chance that someone will buy me EMPIRE TOTAL WAR?

To "Agis Tournas". Well, I played all the total war games form Shogun. I do not do mods, simply not my turf.
And not nearly enough spare time. You guys are , no doubt, fanatics of the game and I do respect the time and efforts that you put in a game. But having such costly buildings just makes you spend to much time building something. And in real life it really does not cost so much money(or time) to build a market or any other building. See , I love history, and I really look for a historical game play. And in this mod there is a lot of good stuff like;traits, events,ex... But I just do not have so much patience to wait for the buildings to develop. All to his own:-)

To "Blackleaf-Wille". Thank you for a very good explanation. I will check the "tactics blog" , I really have not looked at it. Usually I use the knowledge of historical battles. And a lot of Napoleonic principles of concentration and central position , with the breakthrough happening mostly in the center. This worked better with vanilla version. And many battles I won, while having less men and , sometimes, being in bad position. But you are 100% right to say that this mod needs a slightly different approach as regards to tactics. Thanks again! And like I said I will check the advisory blog.
    Regards!

    @Razdor,

I had same objections about moral. I like hard and challenging mods, but this was ridiculous, no tactics, just butchery with even peasant archers fighting against knight charge almost to last man. This combined with high attack values, made just a bloody sloter, which is I guess OK for some players.
I had discussion few days ago at Battlefield balance sub mod here, but moders were against mine suggestions.

You can read it, to see discussion in detail

Anyway, I moded myself, lowering moral for 4 points on average, and attack by 2 points. It is much better now, but levies need even lesser moral to make it realistic as it was.

I can send you my moded export_desc_unit file. I have acceptance of Battefiled balance moders. I wanted to upolad it as official mini mod addition but I have problems with internet now.

Thanks for reply. You know I have downloaded the "Grand campaign" mod and currently playing it. I like it a lot. But to tell you the truth , I am so busy now that I am not sure if I will be able to finish it:-) In any way thanks for the reply and good luck with your internet:-) If in the future I get back to this mod, which is possible, I will use your advise and lower the moral myself.
    Best regards!
