Conquering Rome, Exterminate, Occupy or Enslave?
Im about to conquer Rome in my campaign, made a line of forts to hold off the senate armies for 3 turns. So when I conquer Rome what should I do to the people ? Exterminate, Occupy or Enslave?

depends on how much money has to ...
if you can only take enough money (no need of money of extermination of the population that the game will give you), because the buildings are Roman Romanize and you do not need them and will not risk revolt ...

get your spys to have a look at the place, if it has the imperial palace, you may as well exterminate the place. You'll have a more manageable city.
But if you like your rp, then you should occupy Rome

Re: Conquering Rome, Exterminate, Occupy or Enslave?
Well I conquered Rome, (had to do an auto victory because it was unplayable, to many armies). Before hand I saved it, the first time I occupied and I saw there was an extra building to make that you don't get if you exterminate the population. It is the Roman Proconsul, don't I need that building for further advance developments in Rome? When I did exterminate there was no option for this building.

Re: Conquering Rome, Exterminate, Occupy or Enslave?
I had to use auto victory since the battle was to laggy when I started it, being unplayable. Anyway I just did auto_cq just to check it out and you do need the Roman Proconsul building for advanced developments in the settlement. If you exterminate the population or enslave you don't get this option, or does it come later in the game? When the population increases? Does anyone know?

Probably, the Senate never built this building, and it should reappear as population increases either past 12000 or 24000, dunno which one is relevant for this one you mention

That structure takes about 5 turns to make. In about 8-10 turns the population will be at that level anyway, right? 24000 people.
