CTD when right clicking in information windows

I seem to be getting CTDs in RTR 1.9 (Platinum) whenever I right click on something in an information window. It may be unclear what I mean by that. You know how when, say, building things in a city, you can right click on your building to see various details; well, once in that window containing the details, it might say "enables the recruitment of" - now, in Vanilla, I can usually right click any of those items and get a NEW information window about that item. In RTR, however, I just get a CTD for my curiosity.

Is this normal? If not, is there any way I can fix it?

EDIT: Also, while I'm here, I notice that the banners/flags hanging from cities in RTR are the same ones for the corresponding factions in Vanilla. Have I not installed something or is this merely an oversight of modding?

FURTHER EDIT: I also notice that there are a few other little issues; for example, when a faction is destroyed there is no image in the notification and it refers to you furthering "The glory of Rome", regardless of whether or not you are playing as The Roman Republic. There are also no button images for some special abilities like "Shield wall"; instead there is merely a white circle. Is this an issue with my install? Missing files maybe? Or is it all perfectly normal? If it is normal, it sure does make RTR feel a bit...unfinished.

The first is normal and it`s not fixable. It only CTDs for the skirmisher and cavalry units that require a building for their recruitment. You`ll notice that mentioned next to the unit`s name. Afaik it`s a CTD introduced with the v1.5 rtw patch. The only way to fix it would be to completely change the recruiting system so that those units do not require a building conditional. Just don`t right click the units via the building panel.

The presence of vanilla flags is not normal. Not for the regular RTRPE at least.

The missing defeat movie and button might be related to the fact that you seem to run it via the BI exe instead of the RTW one for which RTRPE is actually made. Still, I thought the shieldwall button was implemented for the formations.

I'm fairly sure the shieldwall button displays normally in my install of RTRE (modswitch, using BI). Similarly, I've never noticed Vanilla flags; I fear this may be your install. If I have some spare time tomorrow, I'll try and check this.

Thanks for the replies. I tried reinstalling; made absolutely no difference. I'm not bothered though. Minor issues, they be.
