i dont think that the campaign script is active in my games.

when the advisor comes up i click on her, then click on show me how

but i dont think it loads properly

because i played through a good 60 years with saba and got no messages from my advisor.

if everything but the advisor is working properly what could that be?

and when i installed i didnt get a shortcut on my desktop or in the folder, so ive just been running the single player shortcut through my start menu

did i do something wrong?

ok, upon further looking around i noticed that in screenshots everyone else's looks alot more polished. the campaign map specifically. does this mean that i have the wrong version installed?

it says version 1.2 on the mainscreen.

this could just mean you are playing on a low resolution, also some of the screenshots posted are photoshoped...

as for the script, im not sure what kind of messages are you expecting, it is usually only to inform you when new reforms occure or about certain missions to specific factions, such as the romans to take Rhegion, or the Adeui to asssist the epirotes in taking certain settelments, other than that you dont get any messages, Ive never played Saba so im not sure if you get any messages concerning reforms or missions if any at all...

if anyone is playing or has played diodochi, i had gotten the impression that the campaign map is similar in quality from screenshots i had seen, dont think it was just photoshop.

but i thought that i was supposed to be getting messages such as the ability to send a charachter to the olympic games and other such things

not sure..

Olympics are traits, and since Saba isn't Greek you aren't aloowed to compete in the Olympics.

As long as you get 4turns per year, you can be sure the script is working perfectly.

'Sides, if the script hasn't yet been activated the advisor will pop up every time you click on one of you settlements...

I don't believe the adviser pops up much, if ever, for the Saba campaign. If you are getting three summers in a row (actually spring, summer, and autumn) and then one winter, than the script is active.
