The fascists of the future will be called anti-fascistsThe best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity
Actually, Mehsud's death could cause some serious power-struggles amongst the Pakistani Taliban. He held many of the tribes and groups together, and they could well split up.
Also, he was seen by many Taliban as invincible, so if all else fails, at least it will put some more fear into them. It will also possibly increase Pakistan's support for the so far unpopular drone strikes.

ha...every war in history has had some ulterior motive(s). Let's at least be realistic eh?
if the americans did the killing i reckon a lot of people will have complained in this thread about the guy's wife being killed. Unacceptable collateral!! lol....![]()
but whatever, good news if indeed true. Congratulations to the coalition effort.
oh lol, here's one....
Losing the moral high ground has nothing to do with expressing pleasure at the death of someone who has lead a violent and repressive movement. It takes significantly more than a few words. As a matter of fact, our moral high ground is determined more by our rules of engagement than any passing comment could.
Take it easy,
what does the ROE say about illegally bombing a country you are not at war with and violating their sovereignty?
lol. no, he died sleeping with his family. The most dangerous place to be when you are fighting americans.
And now we can all wait for a certain user named after a German tank commander to say he died heroically....
Well then I wouldn't really recommend falling asleep.bad idea while fighting an enemy that doesn't sleep.
Or hiding behind your family as a shield....cowardice. And yes he is hiding behind his family. He may have lived there a long time, but when you begin to operate a terror network out of your living room, your living room is no longer a civilian locale. Its a valid target.
Talk to Congress about that, they are in charge of determining whether to go to war or not. Also, that does not necessitate anything as far as moral high ground of the troops in theater is concerned. Thus my reference to the ROE. Let's please not reach for more reasons to hate the US, you seem to have a ready supply that is more than enough to go around.
