    Default Merchants in TATW

    Hi!

    This is my 1st post on this forum. Ive just downloaded TATW and installed up-to and including 1.2. The game is great, but i have one question. After i build trade buildings like a grain exchange and markets, where are the merchants? i can't see them on the recruit tab, yet there are resources all over the map!

    I am a bit confused to say the least, but thanx for any help in advance!

    there are no merchants in the mod

    I don't know if they will ever be implemented though.

    Welcome. I can't quite see the implementation of merchants in Middle-Earth, unless the agent slot was used for a completely different purpose.

    I understand why they didn't put merchants in the game .. but sometimes i need extra $$$$ and desperately wish i could train 1 to setup a far flung trade route!

    I personally would remove the "buying" of soldiers anyway. As if people fight for money! only mercenaries do that, not most soldiers.

    Just think of it as levying a new batch of soldiers and that costs money. Then you have to pay for supplies and that is the upkeep.

    theres no merchants but y is there tradable things like weapons and sheep-wool.

    Trade resources in a region give a boost to trade income. You don't need to do anything to get them, but building up markets, roads, ports etc will increase trade income and include the resource bonuses.

    It would be helpful to be able to know which resources are worth the most by hovering over them when you have control of the region, allowing prioritizing of regional trade building upgrades.

    I thought you could see how much various resources are contributing to trade by hovering over income/trade in the settlement details scroll.

    But you still have to pay for swords shield etc....

    If they were militia and I was a small community then NO! they would need to provide their own equipement. They would have an "Obligation" to fight for what's theirs.
