Default Great mod, but there are some issues

One of the things that is bothering me is the lack of balance. Well, it seems too balanced if i may. I've been benchmarking units against each other and ive noticed that they tend to both take heavy casualties. Noble Swordsmen cannot withstand the weakest misty mountain goblins. almost all swordsmen were killed and 68 out of 250 goblins where left. Another thing, Dale is my favorite faction and I'm dissapointed to see the lack of decent units on their roster. for elite infantry, noble swordsmen aren't very powerful. Why do the elves not have cavalry? I haven't read the books in ages so I don't remember a lot about it. (and why are they so tall, I thought elves were slimmer and shorter than humans)

balance is a hard issue indeed...try looking for Real Combat in submods division

the Elves have cavalry, what do you mean?

and Elves are the tallest race of Middle Earth(I'm not talking about Ents)

Silvans have only horsearchers but horses are not too useful in a forest and High Elves got cavalry. A really good one too

Oh. I really would like to see some battles that were more one sided. Thats something that i think medieval 2 itself is plagued from massive casualties on both sides. I've only pitched one unit against another at a time though. And I don't like real combat or any of that stuff, it complicates the game too much. I wish this mod would be balanced in itself without stainless steel or realcombat. Regular M2TW combat is what i like, thats why I'm dissapointed with broken crescent. Feels like im not playing M2TW anymore.

Yeah the balance is really off in the main mod.

Just wait for RC/RR which balances everything out.. Even according to lore. It`s your safest bet if you want balance- In the main mod the team focuses more on general things.

I don't like real combat. I like the straightforward rock paper scissors M2 (that is balanced.)

May be. But exactly NOT where the opening poster saw it. To put it bluntly - whoever has a problem fighting Goblins as Elves or Mordor as Gondor should simply work on his battle skills. Both matches are extremely one-sided if you know what to do. They have to be, as the player is always at a huge numerical disadvantage, thus wad.

And that a heavy infantry may have huge problems against a mobile skirmishing unit is again wad, not a balance issue.

    Regards,

Yes but i speak about balance according to basic lore.

For example elven melee units suffer devastating losses 1on1 against orc units-Orcs should be much weaker. While elves should be stronger, but you shoulnd`t be able to spam full stacks of them.. But at the moment you can.

And to beat orcs you don`t even need a bit tactic. Thanks to the spammable elven units you can simply use the archer rush and kill all orcs till they get something stronger.
