    Default Next Hero

We have Aragorn, Gandalf and so on but who do you want added to the Third Age?

Myself, I want to see Sauron (even if he isn't in the campaign) with mace swinging action!

We already have all the nazguls, faramir and boromir are important, denethor served no real role in warfare (bastard fled), the whole fellowship should be included, (merry, pippin, sam) Glorfindel I think he's a high elf general ain't he?... Galadriel would be hard to make as you can't have female generals she would have to be a male (afaik).

Or in fact was an important and active leader for Gondor during the TATW period. He vied with Thorongil (=Aragorn) according to the appendices and was second only to him in service of his father Ecthelion: he was probably the most able man in Gondor in his generation, and its no mean feat to run second to the future Elessar.

The movie version of a stupid, selfish violent glutton was a lazy parody, makes you wonder how Gondor lasted five minutes with such an idiot in charge.

Denethor was a proud and very capable man, desperate to save his country and willing to endanger his own life (hazardously employing the palantir) and his sons lives to do so, and entirely willing to risk himself in battle (which is why he wore chainmail pyjamas).

He defended the West for decades and only cracked under enormous pressure after years mental comabt with a Maia: unlike Saruman he was not turned to evil and unlike Pippin he lasted more than a few seconds.

In the TATW period he is a towering figure, very deserving of a model IMHO. Sauron's breaking of his will at the end of his life was a massive win for the dark.

Well freakin' said. And I'd vote Balrog, if at possible to make it look credible.

Galadriel would only be able to use magic in warfare anyway and the lore people would hate that.

I think it would be cool to have all famous heroes more or less depicted in the books:the Fellowship,Elrond,Thranduil,Glorfindel, not sure about Galadriel....Dain is a must have, may be even Forlong the Fat and definitely Denethor

    Boromir, how could I forget?

But he should be like the Captain of Gondor with a banner, not like a traveller as scene in FotR!
