    Default Quick Question(s)

So I love total war games and I have rome tw and empire tw but I never liked medieval times so i didnt bother getting it, but this mod gives me a woody so before I buy the game and its expansion for this mod I have a few questions.

    1. Is the campaign map an actual map of middle earth or europe and the americas made to look like middle earth?

    2. Are the goals and a story in the campaign or is it just last man standing?

    3. Is it glitchy and buggy like most mods or is this mod of relative high quality? (the pics look better than any mod ive ever seen for any tw game)

    Thanks

    1. surely it's Middle Earth
    2. your campaign goals are to destroy certain factions for example Mordor and Harad with Gondor and hold a few settlements too
    3. I can assure you that it has a very high quality

Well, I think this mod alone is a reason to buy the game.

To be very honest, that is one of the main reasons I bought it. Besides, the medievals are fun and it was only 10 euros for the vanilla game and the expansion

it's highly worth getting, it's relatively new so later patches will add even more cool units and concepts to the game, and i haven't seen any glitches/bugs yet, King Kong makes the best mods this and stainless steel are epic! get both if i were you

You need to buy m2tw and kingdoms. After that you can install as many mods as you want as long as they are modfoldered. I assure you Tatw is one of the top mods for m2tw. Without this mod, i wouldnt be playing m2tw... or actually, stainless steel is a good mod too.

Medieval II is a very good game on it`s own, and i would give it a try even if you generally dislike Medieval themed games.

Third Age is an excellent LOTR mod. So if you like LOTR get the game and loead the mod.

Hey edswarnok, as someone who only recently got Med II ( Maybe 2 weeks ) and Third Age ( 1 week ) I'll tell ya It's well worth it. The mod's as complete as a full game. The screenshots don't do it justice in many cases. It's not crashed once for me so far and there's really no trace of the original game when the mod is running ( In a good, complete way )

Not that you need any more convincing, but I thought I'd add a couple of things:

    1. The basic Medieval 2 game (the 'vanilla' game as some say) feels far less medieval around the time you start building gunpowder units, especially playing a faction like Spain or Milan.
    2. I would simply echo what everyone else said - this mod is very smooth - more professionally done than many games in my opinion.

    Enjoy!

Dont get them on steam. Mods won't work on steam version.

Sometimes it causes problems, sometimes everything is smooth.

    Imo steam is overrated...

I also despise Steam with every fiber of my being, if that counts for anything.

That's my 100 posts I have decided to spent it in the best way I know for the team: that's simply the best mod I have ever seen and played, if don't play it you will surely miss something.

this MOD is good enough for me to have actually gone out and spent money on it if it was on the shelves, i think this community is in awe of the developers. This is the best Lord of the Rings battle's style game out there, it destroys all attempts by other game developers to release 'strategy' lord of the rings games....cant remember what it was called...that Real Time command and conquer style one....blah
