Whenever I click on the shortcut the screens to zoomed in. Also if I start a custom or quick battle it CTD's. I reinstalled and it still does it.

Quick battle' s result in CTD's for every one. Custom battles should work. Check if the video option results are the same as the once you use for your desktop. Updating video drivers is recommended as well.

It looks to me like you are running the game in windowed mode (which is a good thing), however, as Hesus said, you have to go into options and change the ingame-resolution to the same as your desktop.
