    Well ?
People or companies that take part in daily corruption.

    You have the Mafia
    The government
    Rich people
companies in oil industry and other industry
    Gangsters
People or groups that work with drugs and sell them on the black market
    ... I can go on.

So would it ever change or decrease or maybe much increase ?

I find the world just as corrupt as it ever was... therefore it's not really corrupt, it's just the norm. So no, i have no reason to belive that it will change.

Then do you think it will stay the same like now or increase ?

It really depends. You're asking for a lot of variables.

You've got a lot of unfounded assumptions in your original proposition. Please define "corruption" and explain how "oil companies" and "rich people" are automatically "corrupt".

I generally look at it as politics is a collection of interests. Corruption is an excess and cheating for one's interest.

Indeed, so the government should be as small as possible so policticans can't abuse its powers for their own interests. Anyway it looks like Obama really is going to bring change, more and a more powerful government will equal more corruption in the future...

The question is will the coming Singularity overcome humanity's dark side past?

In cases like these, what no one believes will happen won't happen either, because no one believes it will and thus adopt a pessimistic attitude. This compounds the problem since they accept its presence thanks to believing that it won't go away. Thus I'll do my part and that believe it'll change for the better.

Unless we go extinct or evolve into a genuinely altruistic transhuman race in the future, nothing's changing.

Yes, I'd also like to know why you assumed they were corrupt right off the bat Mr. OP.

Wait...say what? Forgive me if I sound like an idiot or if I have completely missed your point, but really...what do monkeys and evolution have to do with rich people, oil companies and corruption lol?

People have been whining about how bad and corrupt things are now and how better everything was in the past since at least as far back as such got written down somewhere, and IIRC that was in some Sumerian clay tablets.

When in practice stuff has actually been meaningfully improving particularly over the past fifty years or so - human rights, anyone ?

Well, you wondered whether the first humans were "corrupt" or not. I think they weren't because of the reasons I stated above.

As long as theres a human race there will be corruption.
Abit of a negative way of looking at it, but true.

Corruption will only exist as long as we give people power to abuse.

Not surprising that people will instantly blame the rich and greedy capitalism. So much of the corporate corruption is only possible because of the government.

They will go down in some areas, but up in others. I doubt we will see net corruption go down much if any in the future.

It will change in a good way but the bad is still here and sometimes also in Australia.
The common culture of a tribe is a sign of its inner cohesion. But tribes are vanishing from the modern world, as are all forms of traditional society. Customs, practices, festivals, rituals and beliefs have acquired a flut and half-hearted quality which reflects our nomadic and rootless existence, predicated as we are on the global air-waves.

How can you say things will improve over-all when they haven't hardly at all since the beginning of humanity. And actually I'd say things have gotten worse as time goes on.
